As a Business Development Representative, you will work to communicate Bollinger Energy’s comprehensive energy supply management and renewable energy solutions to businesses and organizations in the Mid-Atlantic (MD, PA, DE, DC, VA). You will have a full suite of options including direct sales, broker transactions, solar opportunities, energy efficiency choices, demand management, and renewable energy options to provide prospects and customers with the most favorable solutions for every client. You will be provided with the support needed to meet and exceed goals.

We’re seeking an individual with a proven track record of success in identifying target markets and then developing and executing effective solutions to achieve our goals. A successful candidate will be able to gain clients’ trust while collaborating effectively with internal teams and will be able to support all aspects of business development including client acquisition, account development, retention, and renewal.


  • Identify and develop a portfolio of new accounts for direct sales and or broker transactions for electricity and natural gas by calling on prospects through self-generated leads, as well as renewing customers upon contract expiration
  • Drive sales by communicating the value of Bollinger Energy’s electric, natural gas, and renewable product offerings
  • Provide potential customers with expertise and education on a wide range of products and offerings
  • Assure quality and accurate representations or products; represent the company professionally and ensure that customers have an exceptional experience
  • Expedite the resolution of customer issues to maximize satisfaction
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant course of study preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Sales/Broker experience in electricity and natural gas
  • Existing book of business is strongly preferred; however, we would consider sales/broker experience in another industry with an existing book of business and or business contacts
  • Proven track record of developing, building upon, and managing a strong customer base
  • Experience working with a diverse array of small, medium, and large commercial and industrial clients
  • Dynamic communication abilities, persuasive and energetic with a professional demeanor
  • Professional, reliable, and self-directing work habits
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
